Projector can be used for a classroom, meeting room or home theater, Projectors are awesome. You get a large image for a reasonably low price. But there are two different technologies projectors use to create an image- LCD and DLP.
LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display, is similar to the technology found in most LCD TVs. LCD Projectors use three Liquid Crystal Display to combine red green blue color. All three are projected on the screen at once, so you see a full-color image.
DLP Stands for Digital Light Processing, uses a single Digital Mirror Device(DMD) chip that has thousands of tiny mirrors, each mirror representing a single pixel DMD chip just produces white color. Color wheel is a spinning wheel with color filters to create sequential color.
How to know which one is DLP or LCD projector Type?
Every DLP projector must has a DLP logo. you can find it somewhere in the front, top, back of the projector. Some LCD projectors type use this logo. Some Don't have any logo.

If you can't find DLP Logo on the projector, that projector is a LCD projector Type.
Should I choose A DLP or LCD projector?
I recommend DLP Projector Type. Why?DLP Projector Type is Dust proof Performance. Projectors are affected by dust and smog. Over time, a projector gradually accumulate dust particles in it. Air filters are used in LCD projectors Type to avoid this problem but this adds additional costs and maintenance. A DLP projector with a sealed optical design can prevent dust from ever entering the light path. The sealed optical design prevents the negative impact of dust on image quality enabling bright and colorful images.
Thank you.
